Sarah Palmer to replace Cortana in Halo 6 as Chief's love interest

The Chief is Palmers's new love interest in Halo 6

The Chief is Palmers's new love interest in Halo 6

It was announced by 343 Industries today that Halo 6 was on its way.

Which is pretty cool and you can get details elsewhere. But of real note, quietly hidden away at the bottom of the press release was this telling revelation:

“Halo 4 was about the Chief finding his humanity and we felt that story worked out really well. What we didn’t count on was the fan reaction to Commander Sarah Palmer’s character in the game and the role she took on during the two seasons of Spartan Operations. Fans have been extremely vocal in their support for the character and asked for more of her.

Accordingly, we have taken the step of featuring Palmer’s Spartan as a lead character in Halo 6. Obviously with the death of Cortana in Halo 4 we needed a strong female lead and Palmer was the obvious choice.

Jennifer Hale will return as the voice actress and Veddette Lim will again model for Palmer.”

That’s a pretty massive change to the game, I hope they get the character right as she’s a bit ‘terse’ for my liking. God, I hope the Master Chief doesn't fall in love with her now that he's found humanity!

What do you think? Do you agree that Sarah Palmer should replace Cortana in Halo 6?

Halo 6 will be released on 1 April 2017

For clarity, this was an April Fool's that some people took way too seriously!

GOW4 announced as a Locust based remake of the first game

Gears of War 4 has been announced and it's not what you think it will be.

Following the successful  Judgment prequel, the game will be a remake of the original Gears game but with a pretty cool twist, it will be played from the point of view of the Locust horde.

Extending the Gears 3 DLC where one could play as General Raam, the game will center on his efforts to exterminate humans and take down the COG. Key battles from the original game will be re-imagined from the Locust perspective.

In addition to playing as Raam, the game will also feature brief turns as new character 'The Butcher', Skorge (from GOW2), and turn as a Corpser. Epic Games has also promised lots of other surprises, Alan Van Slyke, who had a top level producing role with Judgement said, make no mistake, this is not a GOW remake but a re-exploration of the Gears universe. We expect fan's in game loyalty to Dom and Marcus to be sorely tested.

It's kind of like how Halo 2, pulled a swift one mid game and began playing as the Arbiter, except it will be known from the beginning which side you're battling on behalf.

Gears of War 4 will be released on 1 April 2014

Destiny character design video released by Bungie

Titan destiny

Bungie made it to Game Developers Conference 2013 to give the briefest of insights into the Destiny game. Here's a quick video that was released by Bungie after GDC that shows some off the design elements that went into the characters that will be found throughout the game - those so called 'Zombies' look pretty cool...

Bioshock Infinite "1999 Mode" unlock code

You may have heard Bioshock Infinite allows gamers that finish the game on any skill level will get access to the game’s “1999 Mode”, a deliberately insanely difficult challenge for veteran FPS players.

If you don't feel like slugging it out on the normal run through first, a code has been found that let's you play Infinite in 1990 Mode at your first campaign run through (I'm such a Halo geek, I don't think Bioshock run through count as campaigns)

How to get the code?

At the game's main menu, if you press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Cancel, Confirm, you’ll unlock the mode

If the code sounds familiar, that's because it's very similar to the infamous Konami code.

Bioshock Infinite - game of the year already?

songbird

Here's a some snippets from the first reviews of Bioshock: Infinite which some punters are already calling the game of the year.

Here's what Game Informer had to say:

"Dealing with themes like religion, racism, and xenophobia, Columbia is a richer and more nuanced setting than even Rapture, and the unveiling of the city’s culture is masterfully executed.

Whether you’re looking at a piece of propaganda, listening to an audio log, or participating in a horrifying raffle, almost everything you encounter contributes to your understanding of the floating world.

This is one of the ingenious ways Infinite blurs the lines between its component parts; Columbia may be a backdrop for the action, but the setting, narrative, and combat all loop back to reinforce each other.

My favorite aspect of Infinite is the one about which I can say the least: story. The build-up is slow, but it works wonderfully thanks to the small ways other elements flow into the narrative. Elizabeth’s observations help you get to know her, and when she assists you in battle, it strengthens your connection to her.

Opening tears keeps you thinking about the possibilities of other realities. Hearing the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows” being sung in 1912 reminds you that you have a lot of questions that need answers. My only complaint on the narrative front is that the hulking Songbird is under-utilized; for such a cool concept, the beast is relegated to the role of screeching deus ex machina. Otherwise, Irrational ties the remaining story threads together to create one of my favorite game endings in years."

How many miles of code went into producing Bioshock Infinite?

You may have heard there's a new Bioshock game on the way. It's called Infinite and here's an infographic that was put together by the production team to show what kind of effort has gone into making the game. I love the statistic about how many miles of code have gone into it!

I also love how 18 children were born during the game's development!

ME3 player choice statistics revealed and...

... and everyone still hates Kaidan.

Now that the Mass Effect trilogy is well and truly done in that there is no more DLC in the pipe line, Bioware has put together this handy info graphic that shows that stats in relation to a lot of decisions that players made in their quest to save the galaxy from the Reapers.

The stats about going renegade or saving Wrex are all pretty nice and everything but when you realise that they all add up to achieving absolutely nothing as the ending was pre-determined by the game’s writers it’s all a bit meh…. (other than I kinda liked the ending)

No more ME3 DLC - have you had enough?

Mass Effect 3's DLC is all done and dusted.

The Bioware blog blogs that all the down loadable content for ME3 has been done and there’s no more left in the pot.

It’s been a good run for the ME3 with 4 DLC game packs (inc the extended ending) and several weapon drops and the like. Here’s the official word:

Hi Everyone,
My name is Jonathan Warner; I'm the Senior Producer on the Mass Effect franchise.  I joined the Mass Effect Team when we launched ME3 and our Multiplayer Service and it has been a wonderful, wild ride!
It has been our pleasure to run and support this service for over a year now and provide the maps, kits, gear, and weapons that we all love. I wanted to thank everyone who played Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer, and participated in our challenges and events. You have made working on it a real pleasure.
After a solid year of dedicated service, we are now turning our attention to new projects and endeavors, but Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer will live on. Our challenge system and N7 HQ will be maintained and looked after.
Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you online!

H4 to have bugs fixed

343's Community Manager, BS Angel has announced a title update is on the way for Halo 4

As we announced last week, various teams across the studio have been hard at work on an additional title update for Halo 4. Expected to release within the next few weeks, it’s in a finalized enough state where we’d like to go ahead and share its change list with you. Before I divulge the specifics, I’d like to say one thing: While the list may appear small at first glance, one thing in particular presents a myriad of future opportunities. More on that momentarily. For now, here are the changes that will hit Halo 4 once you’re prompted to download this update.
  • Enabled “X-Markers” on the HUD to designate when and where teammates are killed.
  • Updated Active Camo to fully reveal players when they fire all weapons.
  • Reduced the auto aim, magnetism and damage on the Gauss Warthog.
  • Fixed an issue in which some players at SR-130 did not see their Specialization on their in-game Player Card.
  • Fixed various issues with ordnance navigation markers.
  • Fixed various join-in-progress issues with Flood.
  • Added the ability to make weapon adjustments via backend tuning.
If your ears perked up with that last one, you probably understand what this means. Previously added weapon adjustments, such as the Bolt Shot Nerf that went live last month, needed a title update in order to be released. With this title update, we are adding the ability to make weapon adjustments outside of the standard title update process. This will allow us to fine tune and tweak the Halo 4 sandbox as often or not as often as needed. One thing to keep in mind is that even the tiniest of changes affects the sandbox as a whole, so these adjustments will be closely scrutinized and carefully tested before being released.

Sounds like 343 are on to it!

Can Destiny do better than Sim City on launch day?

traveller header destiny

With all the hoohar related to the pretty poor launch of the new Sim City game, it’s no wonder that fans asked Bungie if they would be able to handle the launch of Destiny given that game is an always online, ‘persistant world’

Gunny 186 specifically asked the question in the Bungie’s Mail Sack:

“Is the team ready for the massive onslaught of players on Destiny's release day?”

And was duly answered.

“This isn’t our first rodeo. Bungie is no stranger to anxious mobs of players who rush home after a midnight launch and put our best-laid plans to the test. Since a release date hasn’t even been announced yet, we’ll let our team focus on some less frightening but equally important challenges.”

Which is pretty much Bungie saying, “yeah, we got this, Kid.”

Time will tell of course but you'd imagine the guys that basically mastered multiplayer coding will know a thing or two about internet traffic and the like....

How many Bambi have been killed in the new Tomb Raider?

lara croft costume play
Meagan Marie cosplaying as Lara Croft
Square Enix have posted some really cool stats on how the new Tomb Raider game has been played - while a lot of tombs have been raiders, as you would naturally expect - I don't think any one counted on now many deer have been slaughtered by Lara Croft. Why hasn't PETA got so upset about this? They got soooo shitty when the whales were on offer...

Here's the statistics of the game from the post:

Did you know that in your collective mission to survive and quash Lara's hunger - but of course also to suck up that all-important XP - the community has killed a collective 5,294,879 deer? Sorry Bambi...
FeeFee and his friends didn't fare much better either, with the community collectively killing a total of 1,417,750 crabs - snatching you an achievement in the process.
But killing deer and eating crab cakes isn't what makes Lara a survivor. Together you've taken everything that's thrown at you, escaping the clutches of death, delivering Lara to safety so she can fight another day. Lara has had 13,742,891 close calls and you've outwitted your enemies by dodging them 11,067,764 times.
No arrow in the knee jokes here - you're incredibly skilful with the bow! You've risked it all to save your loved ones, dispatching 147,675,058 enemies with the bow (20,601,083 of those with fire arrows). And not being one to be waste resources you've looted and salvaged a total of 356,988,302 arrows from fallen enemies.
But what makes Lara more than just a survivor to us? She's a Tomb Raider reborn, and together you've embarked on an adventure that's revealed 3,570,956 tombs between you all!

XBL's new My Achievements rewards system

I like Xbox Live's rewards programme - I think it's a good way for them to keep engagement up. The latest trick Xbox has added is the new My Achievements loyalty reward. If you've racked up the gamerpoints over the years, you'll now be able to get a 1 or 2 percent rebate on XBL purchases made each month. While it's a small amount, it's nice to get a lil something for your loyalty - and you get a wee gift on your birthday to boot!

Halo Infinity setting before and after shot

This Halo loving Redditor posted this picture from the Halo: Infinity movie saying "It feels weird to go to my university now." Man, they didn't have Halo went I went to University...

If you were wondering, the statue in the Halo side of the picture is Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo, Roman general and brother-in-law of the famous Caligula. Corbulo was ordered to kill himself when emperor Nero felt he was a threat to his empire. Corbulo, being a brainwashed soldier being a loyal Roman immediately fell upon his sword, shouting "Axios!" which translated means "I am worthy!" My knowledge of Roman history is limited to watching Gladiator 5 times so this may or may not be true..

If you've seen any of the Infinity you'll have noted the cast running round should Axios - which is odd as none of then comitted hari-kari at all..

Want ME3's Citadel soundtrack for free?

The producers of Mass Effect have given fans another reason to love them (guess they're making up for something) and have allowed gamers to download the music to the recent Citadel DLC for free. That's right, those suppposed microtransaction loving tight wads at EA allowed something valuable to be given away for free. Their shareholders must be seething with rage!

Seriously, it's a pretty cool thing do to - instructions on how to download the soundtrack are here.

Here's the official guff "Sam Hulick, Cris Velasco, and Sascha Dikiciyan came together to compose an emotional and powerful score for this personal journey. The BioWare team is proud to present 20 new tracks from the Mass Effect universe, available to download now at no additional charge."

Here's another piece of concept art from Destiny. It appears to be called Atlantis Station and is seemingly derelict except for that blue light coming from inside. What lurks at Atlantis Station?

Zombies in Space

I spied this model of a Space Zombie on Reddit. Why a space zombie posted here you might ask? It's the artist's rendition of how he thought the zombies of Destiny might look based on the artwork revealed so far. It looks pretty cool! Turns out the artist was featured on Bungie for his Fallen piece as well.

One does have to wonder if indeed Destiny does feature Zombies as I thought Zombies where infected humans - not this utter monstrosity that looks like he'd fit in well in a Alien movie or Doom game...

A quick patsy interview by 343 with Greg Bear

Any interview where the IP owner interviews the author of a work they have commissioned (Silentium) is going to be a ‘patsy’ interview – that said Mr Bear appears to be very sincere!

BS Angel from 343 Industries: Thanks for joining us today, Greg. Your trilogy provides incredible insight into the Forerunner race. Do you see their civilization as grand? Tragic? Admirable? Evil?

All civilizations, all extended cultural groupings, are predatory and self-involved. The Forerunners have had a very long run as the dominant race and dominant culture in our galaxy. But over that period of time, they’ve become both inner-directed and self-satisfied, something which irritates the Librarian no end. She understands the ebbs and flows of living history better than most Forerunners, and sees their larger-scale blindnesses as both unnecessary and counterproductive – and in the end, fatal.

What kinds of inspiration did you look to when you were imagining Forerunner society and their amazing technological and architectural abilities?

Looking at the Forerunner environments and designs gamers have experienced, it became obvious that Builder/contractors would be very important. And looking at the destructive power of the Halos and the history of the Flood, it was equally obvious that we are dealing with a warrior civilization near the end of its history and power. The contrast between the warrior Didact and the gentler Librarian, savior of humanity and other species, gave me the remaining clues I needed to begin filling in their social structure and relationship. Science fiction pioneers such as Edward E. "Doc" Smith and his Lensman series, Olaf Stapledon’s vast future histories, Arthur C. Clarke’s expansive City and the Stars and Childhood’s End, and the extraordinary works of Asimov and Heinlein, as well as the wonderful technologies and aliens imagined by Larry Niven and Iain Banks, helped shape my own fictional universes over the last forty years, and no doubt helped me imagine the Forerunners as well.

Can you describe your process for conceptualizing amazing worlds like Charum Hakkor or the Capital on paper?

It’s a kind of waking dream, I think, wherein I mix and match archaeology, technology, cutting-edge science, extreme architecture – and the requirements of the story. Nothing the Forerunners come up with can really surprise me anymore! But there were many moments in Halo 4 that knocked my socks off. It’s one thing to imagine and describe in words, quite another to see those visions come roaring to vibrant life.

How do you feel about the way the Didact is portrayed between book and game?

The fierceness of the original Didact is absolutely appropriate to Halo 4. Halo: Silentium documents the reasons both historical and immediate for his transformation.

Cortana as you've never seen her before

Here’s some live action Cortana cosplay – done as body paint and nothing is left to the imagination in the preparation / painting  of the model so pretty much is NSFW.

Save the whales! OR As usual PETA have no bloody clue

whale assassin creed
Why did the whale cross the road?…To get to the other tide

It would seem by recent media comment that animal rights lobby group PETA thinks that killing whales in the latest Assassin’s Creed means that players will go out and kill “ALL THE WHALES” themselves. Or something.

Whale lover Matt Bruce from Peta said:

"In Assassin's Creed 4, you get ahead by killing. Joe Shmoe who plays this game in his mother's basement in the safety and comfort of his home will feel a sense of accomplishment by killing this whale."

And he’ll probably get gamer achievement points too Matt. Those are really important to gamers.

"This would be a different story if the game portrayed the cruelty and horror experienced when a whale is literally fleeing for her life and then shot with a harpoon — or even several harpoons — and forced to struggle for hours or be hacked apart while still alive aboard a ship," Bruce said.

So basically PETA reckons whales should only be depicted when they die with fear in their eyes?

Personally, this writer doesn't support the killing of whales and thinks the Japanese people suck when it comes to their whale culling for ‘scientific purposes’.  However PETA is being rather stupid with their Assassin’s Creed admonishment – their argument is pretty much akin to saying that all copies of Moby Dick must be removed from libraries all over the world and burnt. Good luck with that Matt Bruce!

Ubisoft's senior PR manager, Stone Chin (what an awesome name!), who must be loving the free publicity for their new game ,responded with some common sense:

“History is our playground in Assassin's Creed. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is a work of fiction that depicts the real events during the golden era of pirates. We do not condone illegal whaling, just as we don't condone a pirate lifestyle of poor hygiene, plundering, hijacking ships and over-the-legal-limit drunken debauchery."

Ha. I love it when PR folks forget the dry drivel they usually serve up to the press and  choose to mock pirates instead.

And let's put all this in perspective. Except for Star TrekIV: The Undiscovered Country where it was learned that whales are more important than humans in terms of saving the Earth from a strange alien force, I'm pretty sure that human life is more important than the lives of whales. So for a game franchise that’s about sneaking up on humans and killing them (indeed, ASSASSINATING them) why is no body jumping up and down about that?

Bungie looking for Destiny testers

Bungie are still looking for testers for Destiny according to this tweet from David Candiland who according to his Twitter profile was the “Senior UI designer for Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, and Reach.”

Pretty sure I registered for this a couple of years ago. Still waiting for the call up Bungie!

P.S. Note the reference to heartbreak - entering your name elsewhere for the sign up probably means you are handing over your details to a scammer or someone who will sell your contact details.

Can you imagine the original Bioshock without the Big Daddies on every level?

big daddy bioshock cosplay
Some Bioshock cosplay
In this interview with Ken Levine about the forthcoming Bioshock Infinite, he talked about the issues they had shaping and developing that game’s character Elizabeth and how some fellow game creators wanted to cut her from the game.

As part of that he said "I would be in reviews and ask ‘Where is Elizabeth?' and they would say, 'Oh, she's in a closet,'" Levine said.

"The same with (BioShock's) Big Daddy. I actually had to insist that there were three Big Daddies in every level."

Can you imagine the original Bioshock without the Big Daddies on every level? Looking back it would seem such an odd thing Ken needed to insist on being in the game as the Big Daddies were such an integral part of the game. They were so much fun to bring down – it was extremely satisfying setting traps for them!

While good design and planning is crucial to making great video games, this nugget of info from Ken shows that you need leaders who know what they want and leaders who have the ability to get what they want into their games.

Is it true GOWJ actually crosses into the GOW3 timeline?

Yes, it's true. Judgement has an unlockable campaign chapter called Aftermath that cuts into the GOW3 time line.

Maybe People Can Fly realised that having a prequel was not exactly the coolest thing to do for a franchise 3 games in. They mixed up the Judgement campaign with optional missions, flash backs to give the campaign a bit of novelty. One thing they kept secret until the game’s release was that having completed the campaign, a second campaign called 'Aftermath' is playable if the player has done enough diligence during the first campaign.

That’s a nice way of mixing it up.

Aftermath takes place the end of GoW 3 when Baird, Cole, and Carmine set out to track down reinforcements before the COG invade Azura. Aftermath is set at a two game play length.

Aftermath can be unlocked by completing each level of Judgement with style and panache. More head shots or fancier execution finishers will grant players ‘stars’ and the more stars you get, the more of Aftermath becomes available.

Gears of War: Judgment’s lead level designer Jim Brown said “We wanted to do something that added context to the game, so you had that beginning part, but then this ties everything together with the main trilogy as well.”

“So you’ll see when you go in there some people you recognize, some places, maybe even some enemies and then see how the two storylines weave together in the context of the whole. Obviously we don’t want to give away too many spoilers in how it’s going to end or what you’re going to see.

“But the basic gist of it is that when they’re at the fort, Marcus sends Barrett and Cole off to find supplies and reinforcements, and then he goes off to Azura. Then at the very end they show up with helicopters. This is where they went and what they did on that mission.”

I gotta admit, I was fairly worried about GOWJ being a prequel but it looks like a lot of work has gone into making it a great game.

Can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Who is this Eric Raab mentioned in the Destiny Mail sack?

eric raab bungie destiny

Bungie fan 'tyalka93'  asked the following question that was answered in Destiny Mail sack :

How much backstory and lore can we expect in Destiny?

Answer from Deej: “Prior to joining the writing team on Destiny, Eric Raab painstakingly helped guide the Halo fiction as part of an external team at Tor Books.

He has a wealth of experience curating deep volumes of fiction for other franchises and a stable of supremely talented authors, as well.  When we asked him your question, we expected a digital tome overflowing with carefully wrought prose. Instead, he wrote the following.”

Answer from Eric himself: “Generations worth.  Good luck uncovering it all.”*

Eric is actually a book editor and has edited several of the more recent Halo novels such as Ghosts of Onyx, Cole Protocol and Cryptum. Halopedia reports that Eric wrote he short story Stomping on the Heels of a Fuss in the Halo: Evolutions collection.

All with sounds well and good and strongly hints that there will be a whole series of novels to give an extra dimension to the Destiny franchise – most likely in the same vein as Halo, Mass Effect, Gears of War and other games have built their impressive libraries.

* note that double space after the full stop. What a pro.

Conceptual artist Shae Shatz had a big hand in helping design Halo 4. Here's some art he did for the Spartan Ops part of the game. He had a hand in weapon design, and promotional work to promote Halo as well.

These images are from Shatz's work on 'Apex', of which he said:

"HALO 4 Spartan Ops pre-production paintings. Early on, we were seeking to create a mini-narrative that would make for a compelling multi-session based experience, where players could take over an outpost one week, fly a pelican mission the next week and fight their way up a hillside where they could infiltrate a forerunner technology compound"

ME3 DLC FAQ with explanation of the 'double download' issue

Bioware Blog update re the new ME3 DLC

With Mass Effect 3: Citadel releasing next week, we’ve been reading your questions and the Dev team has provided some answers for the more commonly asked ones.

PLEASE NOTE: This FAQ Includes Spoilers for the Mass Effect 3 Main Game Experience

When Can I Play the Citadel DLC?

You can play the Citadel DLC any time after stopping the Cerberus coup attempt on the Citadel and before beginning your attack on Cronos Station.

Will (CHARACTER NAME) be present in the DLC?

We would prefer not to spoil which characters will be present, or in what context, beyond what we’ve said: the DLC offers a chance to adventure with your ME3 squad, along with Urdnot Wrex, and to connect with old friends, including romances.

Will (CHARACTER NAME) be present only after a certain mission?

After completing the adventure portion of the Citadel DLC, you will have the chance to reconnect with old friends. Your friends will only appear once you have completed their content from the main game. For example, you will only be able to meet up with Jack after both completing Grissom Academy and talking to Jack in the bar at Purgatory.

Should I Have Everything Else in the Game Done Before Playing Citadel?

There is no right or wrong time to play the Citadel DLC, once it’s unlocked. If you play the Citadel DLC with everything else unlocked (just before attacking Cronos Station), the new DLC content will all be unlocked. If you play the Citadel DLC right after stopping the Cerberus coup attempt, the DLC content will unlock naturally over the course of the main game.

Does the Citadel DLC Affect the Ending?

No, not beyond the possibility of adding new war assets to increase your Galactic Readiness score. You may of course continue on to play the endgame after completing the Citadel DLC, but there is also a natural “stopping point” that should make it clear where the DLC content ends and your return to the main game begins.

Why is the Xbox 360 version being split into separate downloads?

For Xbox 360 users, the Citadel DLC pack will come as 2 downloads on Xbox Live. ME3 Citadel is larger than our previous DLC packs, so it had to be split into 2 downloads. The first pack is priced at $14.99 and the second pack is tagged as free. Players need to purchase and download pack 1, then download pack 2 at no additional cost.

You can download pack 2 without purchasing pack one, but the DLC will not work. You will get an error message in game asking you to download pack 1. It will say “This DLC will only work in conjunction with Part 1 of Mass Effect™ 3: Citadel, which is split across 2 downloadable packages. Please purchase Part 1 prior to downloading Part 2 at no additional cost.” This will not hurt your saved game but you will not be able to launch Citadel until you have both packs.

This only affects Xbox 360 users. Citadel for the PC and PS3 is in one pack.

Clifford says "If you don’t like EA, don’t buy their games"

Cliffy Bleszinski weighs in on the recent micro transactions grumpathon by telling it how it is via his excellent blog post, Nickels, Dimes and Quarters:

“I remember when the rage was pointed at Epic when we allowed users to purchase weapon skins in Gears 3. I replied to an enraged fan on Twitter that “You’re more than welcome to not buy the optional cosmetic weapon skins that will make you more visible to the enemy.” And you know what? In spite of the uproar, people still bought plenty of them. (I’ve seen the numbers.) "

It’s always a numbers game. Money doesn’t grow on trees, it comes from people’s bank accounts. And people want the money from your account to be transferred into theirs. Plain and simple.
-
"If you don’t like EA, don’t buy their games. If you don’t like their microtransactions, don’t spend money on them. It’s that simple. EA has many smart people working for them (Hi, Frank, JR, and Patrick!) and they wouldn’t attempt these things if they didn’t work. Turns out, they do. I assure you there are teams of analysts studying the numbers behind consumer behavior over there that are studying how you, the gamer, spends his hard earned cash."

Some common sense thoughts from the guy that made the Gears of War franchise so I guess he knows his stuff eh?

Pot of gold in the dumpster?

Maybe these Xbox units all had the red ring of death? Either way, why throw them out when you could get money for these on Ebay selling them as parts?
